Our banana leaf packaging is not only our attempt at eco-packaging but also has plenty of other benefits. Traditionally, banana leaves have been used in Thai cuisine to steam or grill food, or were used as wraps for Thai desserts. Polyphenols, a plant-based compound found in banana leaves is known for its antioxidant properties. Consuming the banana leaf itself is not possible as it is difficult to digest, but packaging food in banana leaves lets food absorb the polyphenols that aids in your meal being healthy and full of disease-fighting antioxidants.
